Admissions
At The Fletcher School, we seek ambitious, forward-thinking professionals to apply to our online Master of Global Business Administration (GBA) program.
This online program expands on a global MBA education. It is designed for change-makers who understand that businesses must not only adapt to changing laws, shifting economies, and evolving technologies—organizations can also play a pivotal role in solving the problems and unlocking the opportunities that these external factors present.
If you are up for the challenges of tackling complex problems, advancing your career, and effecting change in the world, we invite you to apply to our global business administration program.
Application Deadlines
Our online GBA program has multiple starts per year so you have the flexibility to choose the one that best suits your schedule. The next cohorts we are enrolling will begin in September 2023 and January 2024.
For each cohort, we offer a priority application deadline to help you get a head start on planning for your future. The $80 application fee is waived for all active-duty U.S. military and veterans, Tufts alumni, and applications received by the priority deadline.
Application Requirements
Our students benefit from sharing their diverse perspectives and real-world knowledge, so we seek candidates from a wide range of personal, professional, and academic backgrounds. This includes students who need both the business portion of the curriculum as well as the international context.
Whether your interests lie in investment banking or impact investing, broad strategic consulting or focused political risk consulting, technical innovation or social impact innovation, you will benefit from the skills and experience offered by the GBA program.
Applicants are required to submit the following:
Online Application
The new application will be available in February 2023.
Résumé
A résumé is required, including your education and professional experience. Be sure to highlight any elements of your background as they relate to international affairs and global business.
Transcripts
You will need to submit official transcripts or copies of official transcripts from all colleges and universities that contributed toward a degree, regardless of whether you earned a degree. Transcripts should be sent directly from those schools to the Office of Graduate Admission Processing. Many schools issue transcripts electronically, either through their own web services or through vendors. If this option is available, specify that your transcript(s) be sent to GBA@tufts.edu. If your transcripts are being sent by mail, use the following address:

Statement of Purpose and Essay
In these two essays, we ask you to describe your career goals, how Fletcher can help further them, and how your unique perspective will enhance the Fletcher community. You can also include an optional addendum that provides clarity about your background, such as irregularities in your academic record or work trajectory.
Letters of Recommendation
Two reference letters are required, but a maximum of four will be considered. These letters should come from people who are most familiar with your professional history and career goals. Academic letters of recommendation are also welcome.
Proof of English Proficiency (If Applicable)
Applicants whose native language is not English are required to provide official English language testing scores. Fletcher accepts scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS), and the Duolingo English Test. Applicants may be waived from providing proof of English proficiency if they have earned a degree from an undergraduate program of at least three years or a degree from a graduate program of at least two years in which English was the language of instruction.

Optional GRE or GMAT Scores
While we do not require GMAT or GRE scores for admission, we encourage applicants who have taken these tests to submit their scores.
